His formal art studies began when only 15, at the internationally acclaimed Three Schools of Art in Toronto. He later attended the Ontario College of Art and with further study at the atelier of Michael John Angel (former apprentice to the world famous portrait painter, Annigoni).

Over the past 30 years, he has developed a worldwide reputation in Fine Art and Illustration, working with leading corporations and clientèle. While located in London, England from the mid eighties, he returned to Canada, his country of birth in 2002, reinvigorating his love for the landscape.

Working with a unique new oil medium – Genesis colours, which possess a brilliance beyond conventional oils or acrylics, he has striven to create a heightened sense of reality in his paintings. Based on traditional renaissance techniques and blended with the fluent brushwork of the impressionists, his landscapes are known for there poetic vision, vast skies and refined technique, capturing the grandeur of the Canadian environment.
